Job profile committee
The committee develops quality standards for the profession of data protection officer. It further develops the professional mission statement of data protection officers and continuously adapts it to current legal and technical developments.
The Committee adopted the professional mission statement for data protection officers for the first time in 2009. The fourth version is currently available.
Training regulations
The committee also drew up a training regulation that formulates the minimum level of expertise for prospective data protection officers.

Meetings
The Professional Profile Committee usually meets four times a year for two days each on Fridays and Saturdays. The meetings take place at varying locations throughout Germany at the home of a committee member.
