General terms and conditions of the BvD e.V. for events
1. Scope of application
The General Terms and Conditions apply to all fee-based events organized and carried out by the BvD e.V.
2 Registration and confirmation
Registrations must be made in writing (by letter, fax, e-mail or online). The realization of the event will be confirmed in writing.
3. Realization
Event prices include working documents, certificate of participation, lunch/snacks and drinks.
The gross prices quoted include the statutory VAT of 19%, which will be shown on the invoice.
4. Payment
The event price is to be paid without deduction within eight days of receipt of the invoice, stating the invoice number.
5 Cancellation
Cancellations must be made in writing. Cancellation is possible free of charge up to 21 days before the start of the event. In the event of a cancellation received less than 21 days before the start of the event and in the event of non-participation, the full event price shall be due. A substitute can be nominated without incurring additional costs.
It is possible to rebook for another event within one year. In this case, an additional processing fee of €50 will be charged. Differences in the event price will be charged.
6 Cancellation by the organizer
The BvD e.V. reserves the right to cancel open events if the number of participants is too low and to offer alternative dates if possible. Participants will be informed immediately of any changes in this respect. In this case, the seminar fee already paid will be refunded. The content and course of the seminar program as well as the assignment of the trainers may be changed while maintaining the overall character of the event. This does not entitle the participants to withdraw from the contract or to reduce the invoice amount.
If the event is canceled due to illness of the trainer, force majeure or other unforeseeable events, there is no entitlement to the seminar being held. This also applies to claims for compensation for travel and accommodation costs and loss of working hours. There is also no liability for indirect damages, in particular loss of profit or third-party claims.
7. Advertising
Any kind of advertising during or in connection with the event requires the prior written consent of the BvD e.V.
8. Data collection
As part of its business activities, the BvD e.V. uses a data processing system and stores participant data to the extent necessary for business purposes and permissible under the Federal Data Protection Act. The participant acknowledges and agrees that the BvD e.V. collects, processes and uses his/her data for association purposes and for advertising. The participant may object to the use of his/her data for advertising purposes at any time.
Advertising by e-mail requires the express consent of the participant. Participants’ names and companies may be made available to event participants in a list of participants.
9 General information
The BvD e.V. has the right to document events in whole or in part in image and sound for the purposes of quality assurance and reporting. At the same time, it reserves the right to make changes to speakers, content, dates and location without this giving rise to claims of any kind. The place of jurisdiction is Berlin.
