BvD-Verbandstag [Association Day] for GDPR implementation

Specialists from politics, the economy and supervisory authorities will discuss »Data protection in Europe – from theory to practice« on 4 May, 2017, in Berlin

How should companies and authorities organise themselves to ensure customers, consumers and citizens of compliance after 25 May, 2018, with the demands of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)? How will this affect the responsibility of data protection officers and how should they prepare their companies for 25.05.2017?

Data protection experts in politics, the economy, consumer protection and supervisory authorities will discuss these and other questions and their possible solutions on this year’s Association of Data Protection Officers of Germany (BvD) Association Day.

The Association Day “Data protection in Europe – from theory to practice” will take place on

Speakers will include: Andrea Voßhoff, Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Uwe Beckmeyer, Parliamentary State Secretary in the Federal Ministry for the Economy and Energy, Gerd Billen, State Secretary in the Federal Ministry for Justice and Consumer Protection, Frederick Richter, Board member, Data Protection Foundation and the Head of the Data Protection Department of the Federal Ministry of the Interior, Jörg Eickelpasch.
