The BfDI - an important partner for the professional association of data protection officers
The Federal Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (BfDI) plays a central role in data protection in Germany. For our professional association of data protection officers, the BfDI is not only an important supervisory authority, but also a valuable source of guidance in a complex legal environment.
Through its practical guidelines, statements and regular reports, the BfDI creates clarity for data protection officers in their day-to-day work. Its independent supervision also promotes awareness of data protection in companies and public authorities and strengthens citizens’ trust in the handling of their data.
The dialog between the BfDI and our professional association enables us to identify challenges at an early stage and develop practical solutions. Together, we are committed to high data protection standards in order to guarantee the protection of privacy in the long term.
