Legal Working Group

The Legal Working Group deals with the applicable legal basis for data privacy and develops proposals on how this can be implemented in professional practice. It also develops concrete recommendations, for example for legislative projects.

The members draw up proposals for amendments to the law or for new laws. In addition, the working group publishes statements on current data protection problems and their solutions.

The working group helps to make data privacy law more comprehensible and easier to apply in the interests of safeguarding people’s personal rights.

Meetings
The Legal Working Group usually meets four times a year, each time on two days at alternating locations throughout Germany.
