BvD creates Data Protection Media Award (DAME)
Movies and clips about data protection will qualify for the award
Data protection must be comprehensibly explained to offer everyone the same opportunity of protecting his personal data in our complex digital world. Citizens must be aware of laws and regulations must be transparent. This is why the Association of Data Protection Officers of Germany (BvD) offers the https://www.bvdnet.de/datenschutzmedienpreis/ (DAME).
The DAME award was officially launched on BvD Association Day in Berlin, on 4 May. Film producers, productions, video producers, youth groups, associations and initiatives may enter their feature films or documentaries, video clips or animated contributions until 1 November, 2017.
A jury comprising data protection and media experts will evaluate the contributions in terms of technical presentation, comprehensibility, addressing their target groups and originality.

Interested parties may obtain the conditions and form for participation in the Data Protection Media Award (DAME) at: https://www.bvdnet.de/datenschutzmedienpreis/. Winners will be presented their awards on the occasion of the Association Day 2018. The prize of EUR 3 000 will in future be awarded annually.
